While election preparations are speeding up in London, prior to the local elections that will take place on May 4th, Prime Minister Tony Blair’s wife Cherie Blair announced that she took on the Orams Case and visited Turkish Women Organizations in London.
Cherie Blair visited Turkish Cypriot Women’s Project located in the Haringey region and showed interest in every Turkish woman regardless of their ages. Cherie Blair said: ‘I support Turkish Women. Turkish women who live in England have many problems.
I sympathize with them. I want to show them my support as much as I can. I plan to visit frequently. I fully support the Cancer Foundation established by Turkish women. Because most of the women here are not even aware of the check-ups for monitoring breast cancer. I’m always here for them’.
Cherie Blair became a person that is liked by Turkish people in Turkey and Cyprus by taking on the Orams Case.
