After completing her BSc in Industrial Engineering at Yıldız Technical University, Ekinci started her doctorate in thermodynamics at Warwick University in England, and completed her final thesis for engineering at Koç Holding R&D and Machine Team A.Ş. in Turkey.

Afterwards, she changed her career plan by turning to the media. Ayşegül Ekinci, who has been working in teams with global institutions based in the USA, France, India, and the Netherlands for many years, has established a wide international knowledge and research network throughout her career abroad.
