Upon returning from a long term exile, Benazir Bhutto was assassinated in her country,Pakistan. Aysegul Ekinci wrote the hidden side of the assassination.

The crime scene was cleaned right after the assassination, no autopsy was conducted on the corpse, the hospital made conflicting statements, the ‘images of the assassins supposedly filmed at the time of the incident’ was distributed to the world press and somehow no interesting clues were found regarding such individuals, Benazir Bhutto was about to submit a very exclusive file to American senators that was proving that the elections were rigged, on the night of her assassination. It seems like a low budget movie that was filmed with little planning. Unfortunately these are the facts. A world leader was assassinated like this in front the world.

There are few people on the streets of Pakistanwhile the world gets ready to welcome a new year. Suicide attacks have spread out throughout the entire country.

I find a few journalists that saw Bhutto’s assassination at Rawal Pindi. We talk but everything is ‘off the record’. A state of fear lets not one to speak. While Benazir Bhutto’s tearful husband asks forTurkey’s support, President Pervez Musharraf decides to go on a tour ofEuropein order to gain sympathy.

Will the elections take place on February 18th?
