Queen Elizabeth Passed from Turkey…

Following the footsteps of a Queen…

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh were in Turkey. This was the second official visit of Queen Elizabeth II to Turkey and it was the most talked about topic in the news. The visit of her Majesty did not only have wide media coverage in Turkey but also in Great Britain.

Since the day she inherited the throne, the 81 year old Queen Elizabeth II and her 86 year old husband Prince Phillip have made 325 official visits. Throughout their visit to Turkey, the official web site of the Royal Family posted details of this important visit and a Turkish Flag was placed right next to the visit schedule.

Prior to the historical visit, the details of the ‘Protocol’ were being passed on like urban legends.

The ‘to do’ and ‘not to do’ lists within the scope of the ‘Royalty Protocol’ as of the moment the Queen and her husband set foot in Turkey…

And how about our protocol list. Our ‘to do’ and ‘not to do’ lists…

At the entrance of the Bursa Yesil Mosque, despite the heavy rain, upon being offered to take her shoes inside, a member of the Royalty politely refusing to accept any ‘privileges’…

The ability of mankind being respectful regardless of religion, language, race, social and economic difference… To other living things other than themselves…

I believe we have many more things to learn from this important ‘Royal visit’!!!

Her majesty became the hot topic when she wore a head scarf…

The head scarf is no longer the topic in Turkey, it is now covered by the British media!!!

How so? Who ever wears a head scarf is covered by the media one way or the other. Just like it happened to Queen Elizabeth II…

The official visit of Queen Elizabeth II was not covered heavily by the British media for the first two days for this important visit.

The Queen’s visit to Turkey certainly strengthens the relation of the two countries, however other news in the British media has outshined the Royal visit.

Former primer minister Tony Blair’s lawyer wife Cherie Blair almost wanted to outshine the Queen’s visit. And she got what she wanted. Upon living in 10 Downing Street for a full ten years, Cherie Blair wrote her memoires. And what a surprise, it was revealed that she got pregnant at the Queen’s summer hours.

Throughout the Queen’s visit to Turkey, the British media was filled with Cherie Blair’s assertive memoires.

Until the moment when Queen Elizabeth II wore that exotic brown head scarf.

The British media covered these unusual images of her Majesty

And the third day of the historical visit was covered widely by the British media. Headlines such as the ‘Queen wearing slippers and headscarf making Turkish people happy’ while visiting the Bursa Yesil Mosque, were used.

Picture of Queen Elizabeth II with a headscarf was used on the headlines of almost all newspapers.

That is how a Queen passed from Turkey.
