AEkinci: We started to see you as Sherlock, especially after watching the second Sherlock Holmes Movie. What do you think about this character?
Rober Downey Jr: I really enjoyed playing Sherlock Holmes, and I still continue to do so. I feel very close to him.
AEkinci: What kind of roles do you prefer?
Rober Downey Jr: I feel really good when I play smart people and outstanding individuals. Playing Sherlock, who is indiscreet, handicapped in the relationship department, anxious, extraordinary and very intelligent, made me say ‘I’m so glad I’m doing this job’.

Our friendship developed so naturally that we started to understand each other really well. Such intimacy was reflected onto the set. So we didn’t act, we were being ourselves. I think that Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson are exactly like that. They have a very powerful relationship between them. These characters are symbolic and they represent our inner masks. We have many emotions, including being unstable. In that context, what makes their relationship strong is their devotion to each other…
