Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson : ‘ I apologize to Turkey ‘

Ferguson said: “I visited Turkey not as a member of the royal family, but as a mother of two children and as the founder of the children welfare foundation. I didn’t intend to put Turkey in a bad situation or to hurt Turkey. If it was perceived in such a way, I apologize.”

Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson gave  special statements to  Aysegul Ekinci , in an exclusive interview with the well known Turkish TV Presenter: “I don’t  belong to the Royal Family. I am an apolitical individual who respects different beliefs; therefore it wouldn’t be right to seek other motives behind the images and impressions taken from the orphanages in Turkey”. She added with sincerity: “What would you do? My red hair is recognized all over the world. Our admission request was rejected. That’s why I disguised myself.”

Ferguson finished her statement by saying: “I really want Turkeyto join EU. My intention wasn’t to put Turkey in a situation that would jeopardize this.United Kingdomwas in similar condition 30 years ago in terms of orphanages. But we made progress since then. You can work on this too. We need to work together to make the world a better place to live. Let’s be productive.”
